The Chef Spotlight Series Continues with Chef Brie Sproul

From Hearth to High Table

This five-course culinary journey explores the flavors, ingredients, and traditions that shaped food culture throughout the Middle Ages. From the humble preparations of the early medieval period to the increasingly sophisticated techniques and influences that emerged as trade routes expanded and kingdoms flourished, each course tells a story of adaptation, innovation, and survival. Join us for an evening of history, storytelling, and exceptional fare as we explore the rich tapestry of medieval food culture, one course at a time.

Why You Can't Miss This

Drawing inspiration from historical recipes, period ingredients, and traditional cooking methods, the menu traces the evolution of medieval cuisine through the centuries. Guests will discover how geography, religion, agriculture, commerce, and social class influenced what appeared on the table—and how many of those culinary traditions continue to influence modern dining today.

Chef Brie Sproul

"I was raised in a small Kansas farming town, where I learned early that every great feast begins with the land. When I wasn't gathering eggs or developing what would become a lifelong devotion to sustainability, I could be found wandering the woods around my grandmother's home, wielding a stick as a sword and embarking on grand, albeit self-appointed, knightly quests."
